Even as a young child I had a love of maps and geography. One of life's pleasures was the monthly delivery of National Geographic magazine. Back them, aside from the library and textbooks, it was the only way to explore the world. Every month featured a treasure- a lovely folded and high quality map of some mystical place on Earth.
Hours were spent pouring over these maps, tracing borders with a small finger and daydreaming about being an intrepid explorer. After life provided a fork in the road, I returned to Georgia State University for a BA in Geosciences with a centration in, what else, geography. Now it is my goal to provide ways in which people, young and old, may learn more about this place we all share.
